Went and visited today, just to check out the park. Let's just say not really whelmed over this place. We are coast 2 coast members and I expected a members resort. After looking at there map most the sites are lease sites, which makes no sense. Lawn up keep needs some serious help and so do the sites. We will check out this place maybe in a year or so and see if it is any better. For coast 2 coast members go to Eagles Landing, much better resort.
This place is huge and plenty of shade trees.
I have raised my children and now my grandchildren at Pine Island. If you ask my children of their favorite memories it is hands down Pine Island and they are happy we are making some of the same memories with the grandchildren. With being members we are happy to help improve the park. We usually take our chain saws and clears the view. Love this place, meeting new people, spending time in nature, and with family.
This park is in serious in need of new management. The current managers have ignored repeated warnings about safety hazards and general clean up items. The maintenance of the park is completely unsatisfactory and being running similar to a trailer park. After reading some of the previous complaints, and the management's questionable responses, I've uploaded just a couple of photos from the park so they can't lie about my safety complaints. The only way to get these guys to do anything is to report the unsafe areas / items to the appropriate authorities. If you and your family happen to have any altercation during a visit, the management has no problem lying to the authorities to cover their themselves and land you, friends, or family members in jail. According to a couple of park members, this is not a good place to work either, as the current management has already run off all of the good managers and employees. The current management has been operating outside of the corporate operating agreement for sometime and is ripe for a lawsuit and/or audit.
As a one night stop for road grippers? I won't do it again. It is way off the I-44 and the road is not RV friendly. Trees are low hanging in some areas of the road and it is a 2 lane "country" road.
First Off It stuck of human #$?!@er
When we open the glass door it almost fell out cause they used masking tape to put the window In lol I know this Is a low ranked place but atleast fix your stuff No One Stays Here unless you have your own 18 wheeler. The prices are over priced one nite In a trailer was $112
Called ahead to inquire of space sizes and utilities, was told there would be accomodating space somewhere. We came in after hours (the office closes at 4pm) and was told if that happened security would make sure we had what we needed. Security said...here is the map, go park wherever and see the office in the morning. Not all spaces are FHU and 50 amp. Took us 40 minutes wandering and stumbled on a good Sam who helped us out.
..... WARNING .....
I DONT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO NO ONE ... DONT STAY STAY AWAY....!!
We stayed In Trailer 35
