To top everything off... It smelled SO strongly of smoke in that office that my husband and I both had headaches when we left, and had to change our clothes. That is an issue that needs to be addressed. A professional service such as this should not smell of smoke.
Just got my taxes done at our local H and R Block in Jay, OK. Not only did I walk out smelling like cigarette smoke, but I feel like I've been screwed with all of the hidden fees and taxes. I switched due to the '1/2 off what you paid someone else last year' ad, but that is in fact, not the case!
I paid $195 last year for a CPA to prepare AND file my taxes. I was originally told (after presenting my receipt) that my cost would be $196. You don't have to be great at math to know that is not half... It's actually more than I paid! Yes, it's just a dollar more but I would have stuck with my normal person. When you go in thinking you'll be paying the $100 minimum that is very frustrating. I get that there are fees in stuff... But seriously, do they have to be so hidden?
I am very disappointed, and had just finished laundry... Now I have more to do
